Un permis obtenu permet la réalisation de 17 logements : 14 logements dans l’enveloppe existante (éligibles DENORMANDIE) et 3 logements par surélévation (en neuf avec frais de notaire réduits) pour une SHAB totale de 976 m2 : 772 m2 pour les 14 logements dans l’enveloppe et 204 m2 pour les 3 logements surélevés.
Le projet consiste donc en la réhabilitation et la surélévation de l’immeuble existant, en dotant l’immeuble d’un ascenseur.
Il s’agit de l’emblématique immeuble des Nouvelles Galeries de Dax. La Société de Nouvelles Galeries réunies est créée en 1897. Le premier bâtiment de Dax a certainement été construit à cette période.
